Nissan Qashqai FaceliftFollowing on from the success of previous promotions with Westfield, Nissan New Zealand Ltd were eager to utilise our centres to showcase the new facelift version of their popular SUV styled hatchback, the Qashqai. Client and ObjectiveNissan booked a national roadshow of centre court activity across nine Westfield centres to display the new Qashqai. Keen to explore the benefits of an integrated media & experiential campaign, Nissan also chose to book strategically located large format floor decals at Albany, 277 and Riccarton. To further coordinate the in-centre promotion with the theme of the TV commercial, vividly coloured adhesive decals in the shape of paint ‘splats’ were installed around the cars – adding a fun and dynamic element and lifting the display out of the ordinary. The CampaignNissan’s Qashqai TVC shows the car driving around and performing some impressive driving manoeuvres to avoid a barrage of spectacular paint explosions being fired at it from all directions. The TVC is fun, dynamic and colourful to convey the personality of the Qashqai vehicle. The car manages to escape without so much as a drop of paint on it – hence the tagline ‘Untouchable’. Nissan used the vibrant paint creative to good effect on the 3m x 3m floor decals – adding impact and longevity to the campaign, by installing them two weeks prior to the arrival of the vehicles in centre.
